Top-performing, High-growth Companies View Transportation Management as Competitive Weapon

Descartes Systems Group (Nasdaq: DSGX) (TSX:DSG), the global leader in uniting logistics-intensive businesses in commerce, released its 6^th Annual Global Transportation Management Benchmark Survey Results. The report highlights a compelling link between the value that business leadership places on transportation management strategies, tactics and technologies and the financial success and growth of the company. By contrast, companies that do not consider transportation management as important to success lagged in both financial performance and growth.

“The supply chain disruptions of the last two-plus years have highlighted the importance of transportation management strategies, tactics and technologies to the overall success of companies,” said Chris Jones, EVP Industry and Services at Descartes. “The study showed a strong correlation between financial performance and leadership’s perspective on the value of transportation management to the organisation (see Figure 1).
