One of Lancashire’s top tech and change consultancy specialists has seen record growth for their financial year so far, seeing turnover double compared to last year.
Magma Digital, an award-winning software and consultancy firm, based in Buckshaw Village, employs some of the country’s top specialists in bespoke software development and IT strategy working with the UK’s biggest blue-chip firms.
For the company’s financial reporting for the first half of the year (2019/20), the business has seen turnover rise by 200% and profit rise by 500% compared to the same half last year.
Co-Founder, Jeremy Coates said: “We have had an incredible start to our new financial year, with sales figures up month on month. We are well on target for exceeding our forecast for the year.”
Magma Digital has also recently scooped the coveted Employer of the Year Award at this year’s E3 Business Awards.
Operations director, Carrie Nestor said: “Having access to and loyalty of the right talent is absolutely critical to success in the industry we work in, you are only as good as the skilled staff you have available to offer clients. Central to our culture is providing a great workplace, which supports talent; as a result, we have bucked the trend, with an average tenure for employees of over four years, compared to an average of 18 months in the wider industry. It’s this team of loyal staff which has really been our foundation for driving growth and has had a direct impact on our success in the last year. We believe that our dedication to be an engaging and supportive employer strengthens our client offering and in turn grows our business beyond our projections.”
Magma Digital employs some of the country’s top “Zend” qualified PHP software engineers and is recognised in the industry as a specialist in the field of change consultancy and transformation, twinned with bespoke software development. The firm works with clients including the DHL Supply Chain, Canal & Rivers Trust, Datix, Vita Cellular Foams and Recycling Lives.
Jeremy is also one of Lancashire’s leading voices on the tech and digital sector, and director of Digital Lancashire, a community interest company dedicated to accelerating the digital economy in the county.
