Linnworks, a leading provider of ecommerce inventory and order management software, has today announced its partnership with Sock Snob Ltd, an emerging D2C ecommerce business specialising in affordable, quality socks, slippers and accessories.
With a diverse range of products sourced from over 50 brands, Sock Snob operates a 25,000 sq ft warehouse near Leicester and manages over 15,000 unique sock variants across multiple global marketplaces. However, the rapid growth of the business brought complexity in handling seasonal periods and managing inventory and sales across 25 marketplaces globally, including emerging platforms such as TikTok Shop and SHEIN.
By leveraging Linnworks’ advanced automation and inventory management capabilities, Sock Snob was able to sync stock across multiple warehouses and third-party logistics (3PL) effectively to meet demand seamlessly and without manual intervention.
Linnworks’ open platform has also provided Sock Snob with powerful data extraction and reporting tools via Power BI, allowing for real-time visibility into marketplace sales, stock levels, and even return rates by product and supplier – capabilities that the company had not been able to find previously with other systems.
These insights have enhanced Sock Snob’s profitability by enabling a deeper understanding of its margins and operational efficiency. “80% of our sales are in Q4,” explains Steve Brighty, Senior Ecommerce and Marketplace Manager at Sock Snob. “We can now track the margin on every single order that goes out the door, and Linnworks’ open platform gives us the flexibility to pull this data and integrate it with Power BI, helping us make informed data-driven decisions.
